Internal Finance Assistant
Key responsibilities
As a finance assistant, you will mainly be responsible for the processing of purchase ledger invoices ensuring they are entered accurately and allocated to the correct company within the group in a timely manner.
You will also reconcile supplier statements and resolve supplier queries ensuring a prompt response is given. Ensure all invoices are entered with the correct VAT amounts. Provide an effective telephone response service to all callers externally or internally.
Plus varied additional ad hoc duties.
With a focus on excellent customer service, you’ll provide a complete professional service for the team.
Skills & experience
You need to be educated to GCSE level with grade C/level 5 passes in both English and Maths. An AAT financial qualification is desired but not essential.
Ideally with some experience of working in a finance team with a computerised accounts systems. You’ll also be a proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel.
You will need to be an effective communicator, establishing and building relationships across the business.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll need to be able to juggle conflicting priorities and a demanding workload whilst retaining a good eye for detail and a calm, respectful manner.
